ABOUT US arrow HOW WE WORK

Working with Patients

Patients may self-refer, be referred by healthcare professionals or other relevant associated care or support organisations. Patients are individually assessed for treatment. No treatment is given without the patient providing informed consent and his or her general practitioner being notified prior to the commencement of treatment. GPs will be kept informed of the patient’s progress and discharge

All treatments provided by ICHER are complementary to any orthodox treatments and care which patients may be receiving, and are not alternatives. The emphasis of individual and group therapies is on self-help and self-care, improving the individual’s quality of life and coping mechanisms. The services offered by ICHER are aimed at supporting patients to enhance the benefits of orthodox treatments and to relieve symptomatic effects of an individual’s illness or allopathic treatments where possible.
