Services for Patients and Carers

ICHER is a registered charity serving people in the Fylde Coast community who suffer from a long-term illness, which impairs their quality of life or compromises their ability to cope with their circumstances. ICHER also offers a service to the carers of sufferers from long-term illness.

A long-term illness is any condition which is not curable but where the medical profession works with the patient to manage the condition and its symptoms. Patients living with long-term illness and those caring for them may have a need for increased support to help them cope and improve their quality of life. ICHER offers a range of support services with the emphasis of care and support placed on teaching, encouraging and reinforcing self-care.

ICHER may offer patients an individual or group therapy, support and information.
